Multi-instrumentalist Michael Lee has just released his new album called Destination on the 11th of December 2017 through all the major music stores.
Fans of Lee's previous work will be surprised with the change in direction with the new material as heard in the singles ‘Fools Rush In’, ‘Searching for the Truth’ and ‘Long Term Vision’. Lee's previous signature progressive rock style has been subsided to reveal a more soulful approach to his songwriting, which has led him to create some of his most honest, personal and commercial work yet.
Recently I got the CD pressings back of my new album 'Destination'. I have now put the wheels in motion and have set a release date which will be the 11th of December just in time for Christmas. On the day it will be available to buy from all the major music stores including iTunes, Amazon, Play and many more.
On the 22nd of July I'll be playing a 90 minute set with a 9 piece band including a horn section. We'll be playing a mixture of original songs and funky cover songs.
This event is part of a series of events that we are hosting on the 22nd and 23rd as part of my co owned music tuition company called XYZ Music Academy. My concert is a free bonus concert to make the most out the incredible space while we are there. The event is free but you'll still need a ticket for it so we can keep a tab on numbers.

April is shaping up to be a busy month. I have started the month by doing an interview for Take 2 Radio. In the interview I talk about my musical journey from the beginning all the way up to my current plans.

Last year I only realised one single, which wasn't the amount of new stuff I was hoping for.
On the upside of things, I have almost completed an album of funky pop rock, which I plan to release a bit later in the year. Prior to the album release I have decided follow up my 'New State of Mind' heavy sound with an EP of old and new material that focuses on my Rock Roots.

Starring in the video is Brentford Football Club's goalkeeper Richard Lee, who just so happens to be my older brother.
The video re-enacts Richard's first season at Brentford where he made a less than glamorous start. Through hard work and having a NEW STATE OF MIND ;) he overcame his difficulties to have a great season.
When writing the song I drew influence from Richard's story as well as using similar personal challenges of my own where I felt in a rut without direction. The song serves as a reminder that you can only achieve great things with a great state of mind.
Richard has put his ideas into a sports psychology book called 'Graduation - Life Lessons of a Professional Footballer'. It's a great read and I thoroughly recommend checking it out.
